About Us
A brief history:
We are a family owned and operated dealership and have been from the beginning. Although originally based on a car lot here in Marietta and dealing in all kinds of used cars, Dicks love and knowledge for the classics naturally led him in that direction. In the early days the cars would come from other dealers in the area who were taking in a lot of classics as trade-ins, most of these were from elderly people looking for something newer and more manageable. However as time went on, as you would expect, this supply slowed down, most people had traded in and those that still drove around in 60's and 70's cars did so because they loved them. It was at this point that Dick started his runs out west, hunting out rust free and nearly rust free cars for sale back in the "rust-belt". So today whilst not everything we sell has come from California and the western states, the vast majority has, allowing us to provide our customers with 99% rust free cars.
Now based on the family owned farm just outside of town, and with an internet based store front, it seems like the business couldn't be more different from it's early days. We've tried hard to move with the times and are now able to offer flexible hours with lower overheads and can therefore pass the savings on to you the customer.
Our thoughts on business:
We realize that the used car dealer has a less than perfect reputation and for many this is truly deserved. Over the years we've spent in the trade, we've had to deal with a few of them and can identify with how frustrating it can be. That's the reason we proudly try to break that mold. With over 35 years experience, locally we have built up a reputation for being honest, fair and most importantly true to our word. It's this reputation and trust that allows us to deal time and time again with people who sometimes won't even start a car before buying it.
This sort of reputation is hard to get across in a few words on a webpage, however our aim really is for 100% customer satisfaction. We have tried to keep all our descriptions honest and although we can't put up hundreds of pictures of every little detail on our website, we are more than happy to take and email as many photos as you like. We've worked hard to get our good reputation and are proud of it.
If like many this is your first time buying a car online, call us up first. There are a lot of scammers out there and we want every customer of ours to feel confident and comfortable. We are just as concerned about getting ripped off as you are. Believe me, there are just as many scammers out there trying to rip off the dealers and we like to get a feel for who we are dealing with just as much as you do. Often a phone conversation brings more confidence in two minutes than a weeks worth of emails to someone you have never met.
